Mac's Snooker League resumes 28 April

Season now set to finish 14 July

Snooker players across the Island will be back in action by the end of the month.

Following a meeting of the IoMBSA committee, the Mac’s Builders Merchants snooker league will pick up where it left off on Wednesday, 28 April (government guidelines allowing).

This will give players a chance for some practice and the venues to get back into full swing.

The fixtures played on the 28th will be those which were due to take place on 3 March (week 15).

The league will continue thereafter as per those listed in players' individual team books, week 16, week 17 etc.

The fixture list dates will be amended on the website shortly, as will updated schedule dates for individual competitions.

The Joe Davis competition is now provisionally scheduled for Sunday, 9 May with details tbc.

It's also still the intention of the committee to hold the Masters, Championship Challenge, Veterans, and Wakefield comps although the format of some of these may have to be amended.

With the league season now set to end on 14 July (pending no further lockdowns), the Committee hopes to combine the annual presentation night with the final stages of the Willie Craig Shootout on or around the last Sunday in July.
