Last meeting between the sides ended in a draw in July

Maine Road will be the latest opponents to travel to the Island to take on FC Isle of Man this weekend.

It'll be the first return fixture The Ravens have to negotiate as they reach the half way stage of the NWCFL Div 1 South season.

The last time the two sides met was on the opening day of the campaign back on 31 July which was the Manx team's first ever league outing.

That contest ended in a 1-1 draw at Brantingham Road where Frank Jones' early opener for FC IoM was then cancelled out shortly before half time.

Several months on, and the Island team go into this weekend's contest having won their last five games in a row.

The latest of those was a 2-1 victory at The Bowl last weekend (13 November) against Rocester in front of a stellar crowd of over 2,100 fans.

As a result, The Ravens sit fourth in the league and remain inside the play-off positions on 40 points.

Meanwhile, their opponents this time around, Maine Road, come into the latest clash eleventh in the table, fifteen points behind the Manx club.

However, they come into the weekend in decent form having won four of their last six games, losing the other two, including a narrow 2-1 defeat to Stockport Town last weekend.

FC Isle of Man vs Maine Road will get underway this Saturday (20 November) at The Bowl from 6.30pm.

Manx Radio will be providing full live commentary of the game on our AM1368 and Digital platforms.
