Joe Reid earns first England Athletics senior call-up
Manx athlete Joe Reid will represent England in the 800 metres at the upcoming Vienna Indoor Classic this weekend.
The middle distance runner says it will feel 'strange' to pull on his first senior England vest, but is nonetheless 'excited' to be given such a 'privileged opportunity'.
Twenty-three-year-old Reid, who studies at Cardiff University, ran for team Isle of Man at the commonwealth games on Australia's Gold Coast last year.
Making its selection announcement, England Athletics said the international competition will act as a stepping stone to major championships.
