It's been confirmed this year's Manx Grand Prix will start an hour earlier than usual.
The first practice session, on Saturday, August 21, will commence at 5pm to accommodate the large number of debutants who've signed up for the 2010 event.
Clerk of the course for the MGP Phil Taubman says he's sorry for the extra time being taken, but adds it's necessary to give all the newcomers a chance to learn the course and fulfil Auto Cycle Union criteria.
He says on a positive note it shows the MGP remains as popular as ever, if not more so:
Rugby: Bevan Rodd on bench for England's opening Six Nations match
MGP 26: A new Quayle set for the start line
Football: Douglas Royal face Peel in Floodlit Cup Final clash
Hockey: Three wins for Island sides in England Championships
