Next year's Manx Mountain Marathon is to be part of the Vasque Ultra Running Championships.
The 12 race series is growing in stature having been first introduced in 2007 with more athletes looking for new and harder challenges.
The Marathon starts in Ramsey and the 31.5 mile route goes over most of the island's peaks with the finish in Port Erin.
It takes place on Easter Saturday, April 3, and entry forms are available at manxfellrunners.org
