MGP centenary celebrations to be revealed next month

Races will mark 100th anniversary in 2023

Plans to celebrate the centenary of the Manx Grand Prix this year will be revealed in the UK next month.

Organisers have confirmed details of the events to mark the 100th year of the races on the Isle of Man in 2023 will be announced at the London Motorcycle Show.

The MGP will take centre stage at the show at the ExCel Arena from 17-19 February.

Some of the star names of the Snaefell Mountain Course will be in attendance at the show.

They will include John McGuinness, Lee Johnston, Dom Herbertson, and 2022 Senior MGP winner, Stephen Smith.

There will also be a 'Supersprint' drag strip as part of the MGP exhibition to showcase some of the races' iconic machines which will be ridden by those riders and some surprise guests.

The machines will include Johnston's Ashcourt Racing Honda RC45, a 500-triple MV Agusta and a rotary Norton.

Meanwhile, the 2023 Manx Grand Prix is scheduled for 20-28 August with the centenary events running alongside the qualifying and race programme.
