Royal recognition for most successful TT competitor of all time
Michael Dunlop - the most successful TT competitor of all time - has received his MBE for services to motorcycle racing today (4 November).
The Ballymoney rider has officially received the honour from His Majesty King Charles III after being recognised in the King's Birthday Honours List earlier this year.
In an update on social media, Dunlop says he's 'deeply honoured', also describing it as a 'privilege' to see his work and achievements recognised in this way.
At the 2024 Isle of Man TT Races, Dunlop moved onto 29 TT wins and in the process surpassing the previous TT wins record of 26 set by his uncle Joey Dunlop in 2000.
During this year's meeting on the Snaefell Mountain Course he took four more victories to move onto 33 in total.
