Mills hold Rushen

Union Mills produced a spirited showing to hold Rushen to a goalless draw at Croit Lowey in the Canada Life Premier League on Saturday.

 

In the other games, goals from Ashley Webster and Mark Wolfenden (two), along with an own goal, saw Laxey see off Michael 4-1.

 

Andrew Williamson replied for Michael at Glen Road.

 

St John’s were 4-0 winners over bottom club Castletown, thanks to goals from Steve Glover (two), Johnny Holland and Louis Morris.

 

In JCK Division Two, Ayre saw off Foxdale 6-2 at Andreas.

 

Most of damage was done in the first half as the Tangerines overcame going behind to a Charlie Harrison goal to build up a 5-1 half-time lead.

 

Johnny Kelly (two), Paul Kennish (two), James Teare and Elliot Cureton were their scorers.

 

Scott Kermeen notched the other Foxdale goal.

 

Honours were shared in southern derby as a last-gasp penalty rescued a point for Malew at home to Ronaldsway.

 

Steve Mulhearn had put the Rockets in front.
