Mountain Biking: National XC Championships round this weekend

Expert class winners will take title of IoM National XC Champion

A key stage in the Cycle 360 Mountain Biking Series takes place on Manx shores this weekend.

Round four of the competition - known as the National XC Championships - is scheduled for this Sunday (18 September) at Chibbanagh Plantation from 10am.

The winners of the Expert category in the men's and women's contests will be crowned Isle of Man National XC Champion.

Those winners will then also be able to wear the championship jersey for the rest of the year.

More than 30 competitors are expected to be part of Sunday's races, which will take place over a three-mile course.

There will also be a Novice category this time around which is designed for those who're new to mountain bike racing and/or want to take part in a less competitive way.

Entries for the event close at 10am tomorrow (17 September).

Details on the competition and how to enter can be found HERE.

Information about rounds five and six of the series are still to be confirmed.
