Manx motorcycle racer, Nathan Harrison has now returned home to continue his recovery from a racing incident in the Pirelli National Superstock championship earlier this month.

The Island rider was injured at Donington Park on 6 September after a crash involving another competitor, Callum Grigor saw Grigor's machine collide with Harrison who then also fell on the opening lap of the Pirelli National Superstock Race.

Since then, the Onchan man has undergone surgery and treatment after suffering a fractured vertebrae and fractured femur.

In an update on social media, the rider says it's 'time to start the road to recovery', adding 'the road will have some challenges but it's nothing I've not had to do before.'

Furthermore, he's thanking the medical teams at both Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham and Broadgreen Hospital in Liverpool for his treatment so far.
