The Island side's opponents are tenth in world rankings

It was another tough test for the Manx Rams today as they went down 20-82 against a high-quality Scotland team in the europe netball world cup qualifiers.

The Island side faced the host nation - who are tenth in the world standings - hoping to build on positives from their opening 78-22 defeat to Wales the previous day.

From the outset, Scotland set the standard high, storming into a 48-7 lead after the first two quarters with the Isle of Man unable to find many clear cut openings on goal.

The Rams team kept plugging away though in the second half of the contest finding twelve more goals against an excellent Scottish side who eventually took the contest 20-82.

The Manx Rams third game of the qualifiers takes place tomorrow (14 October) against Gibraltar, getting underway at 2.30pm.
