New three-week format for senior men
There were wins for the North and the West in a new format of competition for Manx rugby players.
Senior men from across the Island have essentially been divided by postcode into four regions - representing the quadrant they live in, rather than playing for a local club side.
The first round of Isle of Man Rugby's regional fixtures were held at Southern Nomads, and saw the North beat the East 42-24 and the West beat the South 34-15 to take an early lead in the standings on points difference only.
The unique tournament is lasting for three weeks, designed to get new people involved in the local rugby scene, and forge some new friendships... with some bragging rights to play for too, of course!
