Geordies remain on course for Grand Slam
St George's are still on course for an unprecedented third Grand Slam, after beating Rushen in the semi-finals of the Craig's Heartstrong Foundation Hospital Cup on Sunday evening.
Jack Saxon had put the southern side ahead, but goals from Callum Morrissey, Ciaran McNulty, Chris Bass Jr and Frank Jones, before a Matty Cain consolation, ensured Geordies ran out 4-2 winners.
In the other semi-final, played simultaneously at Ballafletcher, Peel defeated Laxey 7-3.
A Billy Kennaugh hat-trick and further goals from Kerron Christian, Ryan Holdaway, Andy Crennell and Tom Wood won the match for Peel.
Joe Walters, Dave Reynolds and Sean Gavin scored for the Miners.
