
The Round the Island Yacht Race took place at the weekend, challenging crews in a gruelling event.
The race, sponsored by Collins Stewart, saw 30 crews battling it out as they travelled anti-clockwise around Manx shores.
Penny Diamond, captained by John Broadhead of the Glasson Sailing Club, took first place overall with a time of eleven hours, corrected to ten hours under the race handicap system.
Local skipper Jerry Coleman of the Manx Sailing and Cruising Club took just under ten hours in his yacht Sea Pie, with a corrected time of nine hours, to take first place in the division one class.
