A super second half show from the Police secured their place in the GH Corlett Woods Cup semi-finals.
Goals from Neil Cain, Steve Gardner (penalty) and John Quaye sealed a 3-1 home win over Marown, whose goal – also in the second period – was scored by Jeremy Lovett from the penalty spot.
And there was no doubting the star of the show in Saturday’s other quarter-final as David Kinrade hit four in Braddan’s 5-2 victory over Ramsey Youth Centre.
Shane Larkin was Braddan’s other marksman.
Meanwhile, Gymns cruised into the first round of the Cu Plas FA Cup.
Two goals each from Roger Davies and Ciaran McNulty, plus one apiece from Peter Dunn and Steve Edwards, saw off the spirited challenge of Second Division Malew – whose consolation was scored by Jack Charmer.
