Double victory for husband and wife

It was a memorable week for a husband and wife at the Chess.com Isle of Man International competition.

Polish couple Alina Kashlinskaya and Radek Wojtaszek took home the spoils in the Women's and Men's competitions respectively, after eight days of play in the largest 'Open' tournament in the world of chess.

Held at the Villa Marina, the total prize fund for the competition stood at around £144,000 - sponsored by the Scheinberg family.

The field was exceptionally strong this year, with six of the top ten players in the world in attendance.
