
Defending Champion Cath Preston remains on course for a third Ladies Golf Championship in a row.
In last night's Quarter-Finals at Rowany, she birdied the first before going on to complete a 5 and 4 win over Ramsey's Joy Morris.
Leading qualifier Emma Harris faced her toughest challenge before beating Ruth Pigott on the 18th. Emma was four holes up but Ruth fought back to level the match with two to go.
Jane Gaines beat Ramsey clubmate Sue Kinrade and Rowany's Jasmine Heginbotham enjoyed the biggest win of the night with a 6 and 5 margin over Irene Waterhouse.
The semi-finals are to be played tonight:-
5pm - Emma Harris v Jane Gaines
5.15pm - Jasmine Heginbotham v Cath Preston.
