Isle of Man athlete Harriet Pryke set a season best time at the United Kingdom Indoor Championships and European Trials at Sheffield over the weekend.

Competing in the 400m, Pryke was drawn in the same heat as World and Olympic competitor Jenny Meadows.

It was the fastest of the qualifiers and Harriet recorded a time of 55.80 seconds to safely make it trough to the semi-finals.

She was then up against eventual winner and former heptathlon champion Kelly Southerton and finished fifth in a slightly slower time of 56.34 seconds.
