Pulrose gain result of the day

Douglas Athletic are five points clear in JCK Division Two, living up to their billing as title favourites.

That’s after a 5-1 home success over Onchan on Saturday, thanks to goals from Lee Ford, Steve Cowin, Conor Dowell and Mark Wolfenden (two).

Michael United bounced back from a surprise defeat to Douglas and District to see off Castletown 2-1 at Balleira Road.

Steve Tidy and Kevin Pulman scored in each half and Michael held on, despite the sending-off of Will Mitchell.

Ash Sansbury was the marksman for Town.

Colby earned a 2-1 home success over Douglas Royal to move into second spot.

Steve Kelly and James Collett found the net for the southerners before Craig Dolman pulled one back.

Pulrose gained the result of the day to knock Braddan from second spot.

Darren Flanagan (two), Dave Skillen and Dale Walker were on target as they triumphed 4-2 at Victoria Road.

Connor Dempsey and Andy Glover scored for the hosts.

Douglas & District needed two late goals to see off Governors Athletic in an end-to-end clash.

A hat-trick from the prolific Daniel Clague Stewart and one apiece from Richard Brant, Dale Kenna, Kevin Doyle and Luke Callister secured a 7-5 win.

Daniel Thirlwell was again the hero for Governors with a four goal haul – he was later sent-off - with Sean Dodd netting the other.

Chris Bowers was dismissed for the visitors in the same incident.

Foxdale are off the mark and off the bottom after picking up their first points of the season with a 3-1 success at Malew, for whom Craig Howard scored.
