Twenty students to attend session with Manchester Giants
Students and staff from QEII High School basketball team will visit Manchester next month, with support from property company Dandara.
The school has organised for 20 students and three members of staff to go on the trip to watch British Basketball League team Manchester Giants play Plymouth Raiders, and take part in a training session with a Manchester Giants coach.
As part of the sponsorship, which is part-funded by Dandara, the students and staff have received personalised travel kit to wear on the trip.
PE teacher Rebecca Dunne says the students have worked exceptionally hard over the past couple of years and have demonstrated their commitment to the sport.
She adds that everyone is really looking forward to the trip, and thinks the students are especially excited about going to watch a semi-professional game.
