Teams aim to complete grueling challenge before sundown
The grueling Race The Sun team endurance event returns on Island this weekend.
Taking place throughout tomorrow (17 May) the challenge sees teams of up to ten people look to complete a 100-mile route around the Island's coast, starting at sunrise and looking to finish before the sun sets.
What's more, the challenge aims to raise funds for The Children's Centre with the charity saying it can help support 'vital services' to make 'a lasting difference' to their lives of people the organisation helps.
The race will begin on Saturday on Peel Promenade at sunrise at 5.11am with those involved then having to finish the course before sunset at 9.20pm.
Registration for the event has already closed.
For 2025, organisers have confirmed participants will navigate the course - which follows the Raad ny Foillan costal path - in a clockwise direction.
Each participant in teams of a maximum of ten will take on one of ten sections on the route which vary in distance from 10.5km up to 18.2km and also differ in terrain and difficulty.
