Crewe & Nantwich hammer Vagas’ women
Ramsey’s outside promotion hopes were well and truly battered at Lancashire/Cheshire Division Three leaders Ellesmere Port on Saturday.
They went down 77-24 and even tries from Dave Kennan and Dan Bonwick, plus a penalty try, left the northerners a point shy of a try bonus point.
Their other points came courtesy of Bonwick’s boot which yielded two conversions and a penalty.
Vagabonds Ladies rounded off their season with a big defeat at promotion hopefuls Crewe & Nantwich.
The Cheshire side ran out 72-0 winners in Women’s NC North West 1.
Vagas look likely to finish in a respectable fifth place after showing some early promise, particularly away at league leaders Didsbury, however their disjointed fixture list contributed to inconsistent results.
