Middleton and Pinnington fire FC Isle of Man to victory
FC Isle of Man have made it three games unbeaten for the first time this season as they claimed a 2-1 win away at City of Liverpool in the NWCFL Premier Division this afternoon (25 October).
In what were described as wet and blustery conditions at The Community Ground in Burscough, the Manx side took the lead on 25 minutes through Joe Middleton's cool, solo finish.
'The Ravens' then doubled their advantage just five minutes later as Dean Pinnington rifled into the top corner.
City of Liverpool pulled a goal back with 65 minutes played through substitute, Kyle Schorah but went on to finish the game with ten men as Robert Murphy saw red in second-half stoppage time for a second bookable offence.
The result makes it two wins and a draw in the last three for FC Isle of Man under Caretaker Manager, Rick Holden.
The Island side returns to league action next Saturday (1 November) at home to Longridge Town, kicking-off at The Bowl in Douglas at 6pm.
