There’s a record entry of 100 runners and 68 walkers for Sunday's Syd Quirk Half-Marathon.
The walk starts from Ronaldsway Industrial Estate at 8.30am, with the runners setting off an hour later.
Last year’s winners of the run and walk – Lloyd Taggart and Michael George respectively – have both entered and are thought to be favourites to take victory again.
Jackie Lee is also being tipped to retain her title out of the women.
Judith Quane – who came third in the women’s walk last year, but was first lady home at this year’s End-to-End walk – could grab a win here, if her recent form is anything to go by.
