Cav completed eighth stage with one minute to spare
After two tough mountain stages Mark Cavendish, and the riders in the Tour De France, have a rest day today (Monday, 5 July).
The Manxman crossed the line, on Saturday, with just over a minute to spare admitting he was 'terrified' of the eighth stage he'd just completed.
The week ahead will see stages, which are seen as sprinter's stages, into Valence, Nîmes and Carcassonne.
Cavendish currently has thirty two stage wins - two behind the record of Eddie Merckx.
