RRAI confirms insurance secured for three events in 2025
Road racing in Republic of Ireland may have moved a step closer to returning this week.
Road Race Alliance Ireland (RRAI) has announced its secured an insurance policy for 'several events' in 2025 and the Walderstown, Faugheen 50 and Athea meetings will take place this year.
Confirmed dates will be announced in due course, with officials adding they're 'exploring other events' which could be held in the next twelve months.
No road races have taken place in the Republic of Ireland since 2022 due to challenges related to obtaining appropriate insurance.
The RRAI also states 'whilst there is significant work ahead, we feel it is wholly achievable.'
Separately, the road racing schedule for 2025 in Northern Ireland is due to feature the North West 200, Tandragee 100, Cookstown 100 and Armoy Road Races.
