Manx side take commanding victory at Prenton
Report by Dave Christian:
As the rugby season got underway, Ramsey made a positive start with a 51-12 win away at Prenton in the Cheshire Plate.
Early tries from Adam Dunlop, Dan Richmond and Jale Richmond plus a Brandon Atchison conversion saw Ramsey race into a 17-0 lead within ten minutes.
Prenton pulled one back but additional Ramsey scores from Freddie Corlett and Ben Gelling left them 27-5 ahead at half time.
Prenton pulled another back in the second half but it wasn’t enough to stem the Ramsey tide.
Dan Richmond and Ben Gelling both picked up their second tries of the game, wingman Brayden Roche also went over as did second row Josh Corteen, with Atchison adding two more conversions.
