There are also hopes the sport can grow on Island in future
People on Island are being invited to try out the sport of wheelchair rugby league this evening (21 February).
A session is being held at 7pm tonight at the NSC in Douglas for adults of all ages and abilities as well as children over the age of eight.
It's co-founder Adam Knight hopes this evening's event can be a stepping stone to growing the sport further locally for the future.
What's more, he feels wheelchair rugby can be a great social environment for people to get involved with:
Rugby: Bevan Rodd on bench for England's opening Six Nations match
MGP 26: A new Quayle set for the start line
Football: Douglas Royal face Peel in Floodlit Cup Final clash
Hockey: Three wins for Island sides in England Championships
