Manxman Thompson in today's Sale Sharks squad
Former Manx resident Bevan Rodd and England have taken bronze at this year's Rugby World Cup.
After heartbreak last Saturday (21 October) in their semi-final against South Africa, England managed to grind out a 26-23 victory against Argentina last night (27 October) to take third spot in the tournament.
There were tries for Ben Earl and Theo Dan on the way to the win along with whilst Owen Farrell put away four penalties along with two conversions.
Elsewhere, Manx competitor Harry Thompson has been called up to represent Sale Sharks for their latest Premiership Rugby clash this afternoon (28 October).
Thompson will start on the bench for Sale Sharks' tie at Exeter Chiefs which gets underway at 3pm at Sandy Park.
19-year-old Thompson was part of the Sale Sharks academy from the age of 14 before signing for the senior squad in 2022.
