RYCOB go top as contenders stumble

Ramsey Youth Centre are the news leaders of JCK Division Two.

They moved two points clear at the summit with a 3-0 home success over Pulrose on a day in which the other promotion contenders both failed to win.

There was a surprise for long-time leaders Michael as mid-table Braddan overturned a half-time deficit to record a 4-3 victory out west.

Goals from Michael Shimmin (two), Geoff Murphy and Michael Hegarty sealed an impressive victory as Michael, who led 2-1 at the break, dropped to second, despite a Paul Corlett hat-trick.

Colby also suffered a blow as their progress was checked by battling Douglas Athletic.

Sam Renshaw scored the home side’s goal in a 1-1 draw.

Onchan moved up to sixth with a 5-1 win at Malew.

The home side led through Dean Kinley but Greg Taylor (two), Rob Callow, Mike Cherry and an own goal turned it around convincingly.

Ronaldsway remain bottom after Douglas and District edged a five goal contest.

Liam Crawley and Jamie Brennan were on target for the Rockets, who led 1-0 at the break.

But David McDaid, Conrad Kumar and Richard Brant hit back to ensure D&D took the points.
