Twelve brave the conditions at Meary Veg for third winter series phase
Report by Peter Kelly:
Twelve hardy souls braved the snowy conditions to compete in the third round of the CU PLAS Winter Series DTL league, which was also shot on a new trap just installed the day before, many thanks to Will, Brian, Jeff and Zac for doing this.
The leader after the first round was junior, Zac Bellhouse with a 25 straight only dropping one point for a perfect round; in second place on 24/71 was Steven Craine with son Callum in third place on 23/68.
The leading B class shooter was Cobus Van de Berg on 23/64 with Mark Hepworth leading C class with 17/48 .
It was good to see a junior lady shooting in Lilly Howland who scored 17/48.
After a short break to tweak the trap, the second round got under way and at the end, Mark Hepworth was the leading C class shooter with 35/101.
In B class, Brian Faragher was second with 41/118 with Cobus Van de berg taking B class with 46/134.
