Shooting: Cross claims a clean sweep in skeet league

Riley claims ABT league crown at Meary Veg

The fifth and sixth rounds of the Manx Petroleum's Olympic Skeet League were held at Meary veg Santon in dry blustery conditions.

The winner of both shoots was Michael Cross with 41 points in the fifth round and 44 points in the sixth round, he also won the David Clague Memorial High gun cup as well as winning the league overall. 

Jeff Corkill was second in both rounds with Les Devlin third in both rounds, who also won the David Clague Handicap cup in round five. Stan Cross tied for third place in round five.

The sixth and final round of the Sadler Agricultural supplies ABT league was also held and the winner was Stan Skinner with 45 points with Mike Parr in second place on 43, third place went to Peter Kelly on 37.

The overall league winner was Mark Riley by one point from Stan Skinner in second place with Robert Watterson in third place.

Next week is the fifth round of the SUNTERA Sporting league.
