Rand and Barnett claim team victory in Santon

The IOM Clay Pigeon Shooting Club held their club sporting championship kindly sponsored by Dave Corlett.
With an entry of 35 shooters shooting in mostly sunny conditions but at times it was misty.
The leader after the first lap of six stands was junior Zac Bellhouse with 43 points; in equal second place on 42 were Mark Barnett and Will Rand with Michael Cross and Juan Cowley next on 41.
The leading vet at this stage was Brian Faragher on 37 with Nicky Barnett and Jennie Robertson tying for the ladies on 28.
After a short break, the second round of 50 targets over six stands got under way and the winner was Michael Cross with a fine second round of 47 to finish in first place on 88 points; in second place after a shoot-off with Mark Barnett was junior, Zac Bellhouse on 84+5 with Mark Barnett third on 84+4.
The A class winner was Juan Cowley on 81 with Will Rand second with 80 and Rob Corlett third on 78.
Junior, Joe Faragher was first in B class on 78 with Ben Stembridge second on 77 and Richard Kneen third on 74.
Les Devlin took C class with 70 to Jeff Corkill's 63 in second place and Brian Kelly in third place on 57.
The winning team was Will Rand and Mark Barnett on 164 with Mike Cross and Liam Kirkpatrick second with 162 followed by Brian and Joe Faragher in third place with 153 points.
Les Devlin and Cobus Van de Berg were the handicap team winners with 215 points followed by Juan Cowley and George Davies in second place on 210 with John Moore and Mark Hepworth third on 195.
