Shooting: Morgan and Walker take the silverware

Trophies aplenty during second DTL League round in Santon

The second round of the ITACT INSURANCE DTL league was held at Meary Veg Santon in near ideal conditions, which included the IOM GOATS high gun cup and the Jack Harrison handicap cup.

The leader after the first round was Mike Walker with a 25/74 straight; in second place on 24/72 was Phil Ward with John Moore in third place on 23/67.

After the second round Mike Whitehead was in third place in C class on 33/96 with Dave Morgan in second place on 37/109, but taking C class with 42/121 was junior, Joe Faragher. 

Jack Clague was second in B class on 36/105 with Cobus Van de Berg taking B with 41/119. 

Calum Craine was third in A class on 45/133 with Phil Ward in second place on 47/139, and top of the class with 49/144 and also winning the IOM GOATS High Gun Cup was Mike Walker .

We had to have a shoot-off for the Jack Harrison Handicap Cup between junior Joe Faragher and veteran David Morgan which David won handsomely by 83 to Joe's 63.

Next week is the first round of the Sadler Agricultural Supplies ABT league which is also a selection shoot and the first round of the Manx Petroleum's Olympic skeet league.
