
Badminton players Josh Green and Matthew Wilkinson have bowed out of the Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
They were beaten in just 11 minutes by the Singapore duo Hendri Saputra and Hendra Wijaya 21-4, 21-5 in the last 16 of the men’s doubles.
Their highly ranked opponents are expected to contest the medals.
The pairing of Lara Ward and Gemma Kermode finished in the bottom spot in the women’s pairs prone rifle 50m competition.
They scored a combined 1,132 out of 1,200 with Scotland taking the gold (1,169) on countback from England, one point ahead of bronze medallists India.
