Mark Cavendish is delighted to have finally announced his move to Team Sky.
There has been constant speculation over where the Manx Missile would be riding in 2012 ever since it was announced in mid-season that HTC Highroad was to split at the end of the current season.
Most experts have said Sky was where Cav was likely to end up - but clashing personal sponsorships seemed to offer other outfits like Belgium concern Omega Pharma Quick Step a chance.

The news broke late Tuesday afternoon on Twitter - Cav tweeted "It's........Team Sky!"
The British team have always been favourites to sign the biggest name currently in world cycling......absolutely ideal for all parties with the Olympics in London in 2012.
He brings fellow Highroad rider and lead-out man Bernie Eisel with him and will join fellow Manx rider and friend Peter Kennaugh.
Many of the British squad who helped him win the World title in Copenhagen last month also ride for Team Sky.
