Two Isle of Man snooker players are preparing to represent the Isle of Man at the 2026 Commonwealth Cue Sports Championships.
The Isle of Man Billiards & Snooker Association has confirmed Michael Curphey and Chris Dagnall will fly the Manx flag at the tournament in Ahmedabad, India taking place from today until Saturday (7-10 October).
It'll be the second year in a row the Island has been represented at the international meeting.
Being held at the Veer Savarkar Sports Complex, proceedings get underway today (7 October) with the opening ceremony at 5.30pm local time.
Competition will then take place across Thursday and Friday (8-9 October) before the semi-finals, finals and closing ceremony on Saturday (10 October).
Details on exact fixtures and schedule times are still to be announced.
Six different disciplines will be in action during the championships with tournaments for snooker, billiards, blackball, 10-ball pool, heyball and carrom.
Organisers are expecting 144 athletes from more than 40 nations to be involved.
