SPORT: Multiple awards for IOM Baton Twirling team in Foundation Cup

Maisie Belcher-Smith was awarded talented athlete for her Juvenile Section.

Winning debut in team events for IOM

There was a multitude of success for the Isle of Man at the weekend in the annual British Baton Twirling Sports Association's Audrey O’Neill Foundation Cup in London.

For the very first time, the national team performed in the Baton Twirling Freestyle Team Event and had the most impressive debut a team could ask for.

Dancing to Ellan Vannin and also in a Pom Group Event, they came out winning both Sections.

As well as this, Karley Corkish was awarded overall rising star by the judges and Maisie Belcher-Smith was awarded talented athlete for her Juvenile Section.

The athletes would like to thank coaches Katie Challenor, Jade Harding, Sarah Harding, Robyn Corfield and Emily Challenor for their hard work and patience in helping them get the results.

They'd also like to thank their sponsors Knox House Trust, Simcocks Advocates, Howdens and MBS Joinery for their sponsorship.
