And in Germany, a number of Manxies competed in the German Centurion Walk.
Noel Ash and Chris Burn both achieved Centurion status on what was reported to be a tough and hilly multi-lap course at Bochum in the west of Germany.
Noel finished second, just over an hour down on the winner from the Netherlands Edwin Wijngaarden.
Chris was 13th man and 15th overall, just under 13 minutes inside the 24-hour cut-off for the event.
May Hooper, Mike Bonney and Stew Jones all gave it everything but were forced to retire.
