St George's thrash Douglas Royal to reach semi-final

Wins for Laxey, Peel and Union Mills

Thirteen proved an unlucky number for Douglas Royal as they were thrashed by St George's in the quarter-final of the Paddy Power FA Cup.

Conor Doyle - fresh from his trial at Blackpool in midweek - scored five in the emphatic 13-0 away win.

Johnny Myers, Ciaran McNulty, Joey Morling, Calum Morrissey, Jack McVey and Ryan Kelly also getting their names on the scoresheet as St George's gear up for yet another cup semi-final.

Elsewhere, Union Mills and Ramsey Youth Centre needed extra time to settle their quarter-final tie.

Goals from Lee Christian and Steven Grose saw the teams level after 90 minutes.

But two more goals from Christian and one from Luke Booth means it's the Millers who are in the hat for the next round - 4-2 the final score.

Laxey advanced after a 3-2 victory over Malew thanks to goals from Fraser Vaughan, Matty Rennie and Sean Gavin.

Michael Wheeler and Jordan Krippner scoring for the visitors.

Meanwhile Peel are through after a comfortable 4-0 win over Ayre.

There was late drama in the only GH Corlett Woods Cup fixture of the day.

Braddan looked to be closing in on victory before two late goals from visitors Colby turned the game on its head.

Jordan Edge equalised in final stages before a last gasp Carl Hickey strike secured victory.

It meant two goals from Connor Dempsey weren't enough for the home side - the final score Braddan 2-3 Colby.
