Ravens fight back from 4-2 down to win 7-4 at Burscough
FC Isle of Man ended their seven-match run without a league win with a stunning comeback against Burscough in the North West Counties Football League Premier Division.
After trailing 4-2 at half time, the Ravens fought back to secure a 7-4 victory.
The hosts opened the scoring early on, with FC Isle of Man twice coming from behind in the opening half hour - with Luke Murray and Charlie Higgins the scoresheet for the visitors.
Burscough were on the attack just before the break, netting twice in the final minutes of the first half to ensure they led at half time.
Tom Creer got the Manx side back into contention, scoring early in the second half before Ste Whitley got the equaliser.
The visitors led for the first time with just over 15 minutes to go after a goal from Karl Clark, before Murray struck two minutes later with his second of the night, while Lewis Roberts sealed the victory in stoppage time.
The win, FC Isle of Man's first in the NWCFL Premier Division since August, leaves them 17th in the table.
