Southern race set off this morning
Competitors are still crossing the line in the Syd Quirk Half Marathon, which is taking place today in the south of the Island.
Two hundred and thirty-one people entered the race - 59 of them are walking.
The walkers set off at 8.30am from the Ronaldsway Industrial Estate, with the rest setting off over the following hour.
The route is two laps of a loop which takes in Ballasalla, Cross Four Ways, Ballabeg, Castletown Bypass and Janet’s Corner.
Michael Garrett was first to complete the circuit with a time of 01:16:19 - he was closely followed by Jamie Newton 24 seconds behind.
Jack Okell placed third.
Keri Parry led the women with a time of 01:32:11.
Helen Taylor was second, and Alison King third.
