Tangerines crush Pulrose

Experienced campaigner James Teare showed his undoubted talent with a hat-trick as Ayre United cruised to a 4-1 victory over Pulrose in CFS Division Two on Saturday.

It was another displaying indicating why Ayre are keen to bounce back into the top flight at the first attempt.

Jason Craine grabbed their other goal at Andreas as Ayre maintained their good start to the season with Barry English netting the Pulrose consolation.

The other side relegated last season, Colby, were left to rue losing a two-goal lead.

They led Onchan 2-0 and 3-1 thanks to goals from Andrew Moody (two) and Kyle Lunn.

However, Brian Carney’s new side fought back to earn a point with Sam Liver and Paul Whitley (two) the marksmen.

David Skillen, Gavin Gawne and Kevin Ballard were all on target as Douglas Royal won 5-2 at Ronaldsway, who found the net through Kevin Murphy and an own goal.

Douglas and District sealed a fine 3-2 win at Ramsey Youth Centre.

A last-minute winner from Darren Armstrong led to D&D celebrations with Steven Wilson and Scott Webster scoring the others.

Glenn McGovern and Connell Hughes were the Youth Centre scorers.

A second half double from Adam Menton sealed a 2-1 victory for Foxdale at the Police, who had led at the break through Chris Moore.

Braddan won 2-1 at Malew, whose goal was scored by Danny Furwell.
