Team IMR top of the pile in free practice one

BSB National Superstock 1000 round four at Snetterton

The only Island-based outfit competing in the British Superbike Championships has topped the field in the first session of free practice this weekend.

The Quinnstheprinters.com BMW by IMR team are at Snetterton, for round four of the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship.

Before the action got underway this morning, the team paid tribute to the late Dan Kneen, who had also been competing in the class before a fatal incident in TT practice.

Chrissy Rouse went on to record a time of 1 minute, 51.027 seconds - an average speed of 96.26mph - which left him almost three tenths of a second ahead of Andy Reid in second.

Rouse currently sits fourth in the overall standings, and teammate Jordan Gilbert is twelfth.
