Isle of Man player loses in straight sets to 25th seed
Isle of Man tennis player Billy Harris has been knocked out of the US Open in the first round.
The world number 151 was beaten by former US Open semi-finalist and 25th seed Felix Auger-Aliassime in straight sets (6-4 7-6 6-4).
Despite the gulf in rankings between the two players, Harris was competitive throughout the match, forcing his Canadian opponent to save several set points during the second-set tiebreak.
It was Harris's first time playing in the tournament at Flushing Meadows.
