Former Island player beaten in straight sets
Former Isle of Man tennis player, Billy Harris has suffered defeat in the second qualifying round of this year's Shanghai Masters in China.
He's been beaten in straight sets (7-6, 6-4) by men's singles qualifying second seed, Valentin Royer of France in the early hours of this morning (30 September).
Harris had previously overcome Japan's Taro Daniel (6-4, 6-2) in the first round.
Separately, it's been a positive September for the former Albany and Castletown player as he won his first ATP Challenger title at the Cassis Open Provence in France on 7 September.
Elsewhere, he also reached the last four of the Guangzhou Huangpu International Tennis Open and quarter-finals of the Jingshan Open.
