Former Island player to face top-20 competitor in Gentlemen's Singles
Former Isle of Man tennis star, Billy Harris has found out who he'll face in the opening round of Wimbledon 2026.
The 31-year-old has been drawn against 19th-seed, Karen Khachanov for the first round of this year's Gentlemen's Singles.
Both players will face off at the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club next Tuesday (30 June) on a court and at a time to be confirmed.
The winner will face either German competitor, Yannick Hanfmann or Frenchman, Giovanni Mpetchi Perricard in round two.
En route to the 2026 main draw, Harris earned his spot via this week's qualifiers with victories over Stefano Napolitano, Zsombor Piros and Yi Zhou.
Having featured in the Gentlemen's Singles main draw in both of the last two years, Harris reached the second round 12 months ago before a defeat to Nuno Borges.
