Isle of Man tennis player seeking a place in first grand slam event of the year
Isle of Man tennis player Billy Harris has won his opening match in qualifying for the Australian Open.
The 29-year-old beat Japanese player Yuta Shimizu 6-7 6-4 6-4 in the first round this morning.
He'll need to win two more matches for a place in the main draw of the first grand slam tournament of the year.
Harris's next match will be against either Australia's Edward Winter or Carlos Taberner of Spain.
