But head of motorsport confident on long-term financial viability of TT
The Department for Enterprise's head of motorsport remains confident over the long-term financial viability of the Isle of Man TT Races.
Paul Phillips believes strategic planning is helping them navigate ongoing costs around the event whilst acknowledging 'the cost of motorsport will always increase.'
When it comes to visitor demand, he says the numbers seen in 2023 were close to what was being seen before the Covid pandemic following an initial drop-off the year before.
Mr Phillips thinks they have the ability to attract more fans in 2024 and beyond within the bounds of the Island's infrastructure:
Snooker: Hurricanes in 'pole' position heading into league's final week
Football: Peel close gap on Corinthians in premier league title race
Rugby: Douglas secure Regional 2 North West play-off spot despite defeat
