Manxman to contest T100 race in Dubai this weekend

Manx triathlete, Will Draper is set to make his third appearance on the T100 Triathlon World Tour this weekend.

The Island competitor has earned another wildcard entry to the series, this time for the penultimate round in Dubai this Saturday (15 November).

Draper has competed as a wildcard competitor on two previous occasions in the championship this season, each time finishing inside the top 15.

Saturday's race is due to get underway at 11.30am local time.

The first of Draper's wildcard appearances on the tour saw him place 15th in Vancouver, Canada in June in round three before improving in round four in London in August to cross the line in 11th spot.

As a result, he heads into the weekend 27th in the men's standings out of 55 athletes who've taken part in one or more events in the 2025 series so far.

The T100 tour features 40 elite long-distance athletes - 20 male and 20 female - all competing to become series champion and all vying for a share of a $9million prize pot.

The majority of competitors do not take part in every round of the series.

Wildcards like Draper are invited onto the tour throughout the season and are chosen by 'exceptional recent performances, top athletes coming back from injury or maternity or more Olympians stepping up in distance.'
